Supporting the Fight Against MND

Last year, our event raised just over £2,000 for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) charities, with the funds split between the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation and the Mind over MND campaign.

This year, we’re aiming even higher, with a fundraising target of £5,000!

Our efforts are driven by a deeply personal reason. We are raising awareness and funds in memory of our friend Pete Eveleigh, who bravely battled MND for three years before sadly passing away on 25 February 2026. Pete’s strength, courage, and spirit continue to inspire us, and this event is a way for us to honour his memory while helping others affected by this devastating disease.

This year, all profits will once again be donated, split between the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation and Mind Over MND campaign, supporting their vital work in research, awareness, and support for those living with MND.

What is Motor Neurone Disease (MND)?

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a progressive neurological condition that affects the nerves in the brain and spinal cord responsible for controlling movement. Over time, these nerves stop working properly, causing muscles to weaken and waste away.

People living with MND may gradually lose the ability to walk, speak, swallow, and eventually breathe independently. While treatments can help manage symptoms, there is currently no cure.

By raising funds and awareness, we hope to contribute to the ongoing research and support needed so that one day a cure can be found.
